On Sunday June 3rd the Peanut Butter & Co. Human Zoom team was on home turf in Philadelphia. The
women raced 4 laps for a total of 58 miles.

The race started with 125 riders and included many international and domestic pros. Halfway through each lap riders are challenged by the Manayunk Wall, with a maximum grade of 17%. There are also two smaller climbs on the course. The team worked well together to put themselves in good position before the first wall ascent. After the climb, riders were in various chase groups catching back up to the lead group. Kristine, Victoria, and Beth were all able to work their way back to the main peloton, but became
separated with each climb up the wall.

In order to finish the race, a rider must do so within 5% percent of the winner’s time. The team’s goal for the race was to finish, and 3 riders were able to achieve this goal. Finishing places and times are listed

The support by sponsors and teammates was critical to the team’s success. The support staff from Human Zoom, team director Colin Sandberg, and the volunteers in the feed zone allowed the racers to focus on racing.
